In the method of building a bridge arch, the two halves (7) of the bridge arch, in each case standing in their abutment (11), are concreted or constructed from prefabricated parts from their foot (B) to the apex (C) with the aid of a climbing form or a sliding form. After completion of the two arch halves, these are let down into their final position with the aid of a bracing (10) in the form of steel cables.
