The invention relates to a device having at least one rotor and one stator for generating useful energy by the use of magnets. The device consists of a stator housing 9 in which a shaft 10 is supported coaxially. Located on the shaft 10 is a rotor 5 which can rotate in a guided manner and can be displaced in a translational manner on the shaft 10. The rotor 5 has a rotor blade element 15 on which permanent magnets 29 or electromagnets are arranged, which magnets are effectively connected to the stator element 27 of the stator 7. The stator 7 is mounted on the inner wall 39 of the stator housing 9. The rotor blade element 15 and the stator element 27 are of spiral construction and exhibit the coinciding inclination angle, which is predetermined by the guidance of the rotor 4 on the shaft 10. <IMAGE>
