Periodically working cutters, each cutting a blank, can be equipped with this additional device in order to cut, in addition, one or two cutouts in the blank from the top downwards at an acute angle to the column of clay. This additional device enables, for example, statically interacting step bricks to be produced in brickworks with little expenditure.
