Device for generating a fluid pressure

A device for generating an electrically controlled hydraulic pressure is proposed which has a piston (13) which is displaceable in a cylinder (11) and is actuated by a pressure-intensifier piston (16) formed in one piece with it. The pressure-intensifier piston (16) can be acted upon by vacuum in a pressure chamber (17) against the action of a restoring spring (20). The vacuum is controlled by means of an electrically operable vacuum solenoid valve (10). The bottom part of the pressure chamber (17), which bottom part communicates with the cylinder (11) in the initial position of the piston (13) for the follow-up of the fluid, serves as a fluid supply (12). The pressure generator is simple, inexpensive and functionally reliable. It is of small dimensions and enables space to be effectively utilised (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
