New compounds are provided of formula: <CHEM> in which A is hydrogen or C1-C10 acyl, B is hydrogen, C1-C5 alkyl or C1-C10 acyl, R<1> is C3-C4 alkyl, and R<1> is hydrogen, C1-C5 alkyl, C2-C5 alkenyl, C1-C5 alkoxy or phenyl, provided that either A or B is C1-C10 acyl. These compounds are useful as herbicides and may be prepared by several routes. |
