<p>A multi-layer fabric comprises: a 'warm' outer layer (1) of breathable material (e.g. synthetic fleece); an impermeable layer (6) of material that is warm to the touch (e.g. closed-cell plastics foam); a ventilating layer (7) (e.g. a plastic sheet with spaced air-filled blisters); a resilient, pliable and permeable layer (8) (e.g. a woven or knitted plastics mesh); and a 'cool' outer layer (1A) of breathable material (e.g. an open-weave textile). A cushion or vehicle seat cover may be usable with either face (1 or 1A) uppermost. The ventilating layers prevent hot spots, and the top layer (1 or 1A) can act as a wick to remove perspiration. <IMAGE></p> |
