Across coupling for a coupling drive shaft with a high load-bearing capacity, comprises a coupling fork which consists of two halves 3, 4 and is connected via teeth 9 or the like to an adjacent hub part 10 by means of shrink-fitted clamping elements 12, 13. The advantage of this design lies in the fact that the bearing eye of the coupling fork half can remain undivided and therefore form-rigid, and the installation of a journal cross with a large journal diameter and roller bearings with a high load-bearing capacity is possible without difficulty. The join between the fork halves lies in the zone subjected to the least stress. By this means the cross coupling is endowed with a higher load-bearing capacity for the same diameter of rotation, and assembly is simple. …<IMAGE>… |
