The lower part (2) of this Petri dish (1) which contains a nutrient medium can be closed with a lid (3), the lower part (2) and lid (3) being composed of plastic and being deep-drawn from a preferably transparent sheet. A heat sealing is provided between lower part (2) and lid (3), with the lid (3) in particular having a heat-sealing layer on its entire inner surface. The lower part (2) has on the periphery of its opening a sealing rim (6) which runs in a plane parallel to the base (7), and positioning members (12, 19) are formed on the rim of the lower part (2) and/or of the lid (3) and assist the placing of the lid (3), after release of the sealing, both in contact again with the lower part (2) and at a distance therefrom, leaving ventilation openings. To simplify manufacture and handling of this Petri dish and to save material, the positioning members (12, 19) are located in the region of the sealing rim (6) of the lower part (2) and of the sealing flange (9) of the lid (3). <IMAGE> |
