To make possible a rapid and simple replacement and also reinsertion of the respective stick of adhesive (5) in a melt adhesive application device with a heating body (1) designed to receive a stick of adhesive (5) to be processed, a guide (2) is provided in the heating body (1) and is aligned with the adhesive outlet (6) of the device.
