The necktie has a collar section, a necktie section fixedly connected to the latter and a retaining strap detachably connected to the collar section, the collar section being of substantially rectangular design and being provided, on its two narrow sides which extend substantially vertically, with downward-extending tabs which project beyond the narrow sides; each tab is provided with a plurality of parts of interacting pairs of press-studs so that, when the two tabs are folded over and overlapped, the press-studs can be closed and the width of the collar section is adjustable in accordance with the interaction of the press-studs. <IMAGE>
