The reflector of the headlight consists of a standardised core part (10) encompassing the vertex region and of a remaining complementary piece (11), the two of which are united by means of latching connections (16, 17). The dimensions of the core part (10) correspond to the largest contour of the smallest reflector of all types of headlight. Optical means (19) are mounted on the reflection surface (15) of the core part (10)/complementary part (11) or on the inside of the lens (21). The standardised core part is used for all types of headlight, and only the complementary part (11) needs to be matched to the particular type of headlight. <IMAGE>
