PURPOSE:To extend the service life of a control member and to obtain a developer layer which is uniform for a long time, by forming the part pressed against a developer carrier of the control member with a soft elastic body and providing a means which moves the control member in the pressing part. CONSTITUTION:The part, which is in contact with a developer carrier 4, of a control member 8 is formed with a soft elastic body member 72. The soft elastic body member 72 is stuck uniformly to one end of a flat spring member 81 so that its face which is in contact with the developer carrier 4 is not bent, and the flat spring member 81 has the other end fixed to a winding member 83 by a pin 84. The winding member 83 is axially supported freely turnably around a shaft member 82 provided in parallel with the revolving shaft of the developer carrier, and the winding member 83 is turned in the direction of an arrow A to move the part pressed against the developer carrier 4 of the soft elastic body 72. It is preferable that the soft elastic body member 72 is formed with silicone rubber or urethane rubber of 30-70 deg. hardness so that a developer 1 is not easily filmed. |
