A head-arm bearing device for one or more scanning heads in recording/reproducing apparatuses for flexible recording media, for example flexible magnetic discs, includes for the head arm a joint spindle, which is mounted free from play in the axial direction by spring means and which, together with the head-arm pressing spring, establishes a constant head contact pressure, essentially independently of the head-arm deflection. The device essentially comprises a frame with a joint spindle, either frame or joint spindle containing the spring(s). A one-piece frame design with integrated spring provides optimal mounting. |
