COATING MATERIAL FOR HEAT-RESISTANT PRECOATED METAL

PURPOSE:To provide the titled coating material having excellent adhesion to metal and folding processability, by blending a specified thermoplastic polyether sulfone resin, a thermosetting polyimide resin and a cellulose derivative resin. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. thermoplastic polyether sulfone resin (A) contg. arom. hydroxyl groups [a resin comprising a repeating unit of the formula, such as victrex EPS100 (a product of ICI)], 3-120pts.wt. thermosetting polyimide resin (B) (pref. polyaminobismaleimide resin) and 0.1-5pts.wt. (per 100pts.wt. of the combined quantity of components A and B) cellulose derivative resin (C) such as EAB-171-2 (a product of Eastman Kodak Co.) are blended together to obtain a coating material for heat-resistant precoated metal. As component C, a vinyl chloride polymer resin or an acrylic polymer resin may be used in place of the cellulose derivative resin.
