PURPOSE:To retain bubble stably even when a driving magnetic field is not applied by making the radius of curvature of terminal of a contiguous disk bubble transfer line larger than a specified value of nominal diameter of the magnetic bubble. CONSTITUTION:If (d) represents nominal diameter of a bubble, abacus beads like patterns 1 are arranged repeatedly at a period of 4d, and curvature of terminals 2, 3 is made above 2d. In a CD bubble transfer pattern, the relation between a static hold magnetic field required by a bubble that stayed at the corner to stay at the place after the driving magnetic field is cut off and the radius of curvature is; the larger the radius of curvature of the corner, the smaller the magnitude of necessary hold magnetic field, and when the radius of curvature is about 1.9 micron, necessary hold magnetic field becomes 0. As nominal diameter of the bubble to be used is 1 micron, if the radius of curvature of the corner is 2.0 micron, i.e. more than twice nominal diameter of the bubble, applying of a hold magnetic field at the tme of starting/stopping of the bubble becomes unnecessary. |
