PURPOSE:To excavate ballast with good efficiency by a method in which the scooper of a shovel is vertically divided into an upper scooping part and a lower scooping part from the connected part with the knob, and the tip of the lower scooping part is extended beyond the tip of the upper scooping part. CONSTITUTION:In a shovel, a part to scoop the ballast of the substrate of a track is vertically divided into an upper scooping part A and a lower scooping part B from the connected part with the knob C. The tip of the lower scooping part B is extended (x) about 3-5cm longer than the tip of the upper scooping part A. Therefore, when the lower scooping part B is penetrated into ballast deposited on the outside of the substrate, the excavation of the ballast by the lower scooping part B is better performed because the upper scooping part is not contacted with the ballast. Since the lower scooping part B is separated by (y) about 5-12cm from the upper scooping part A, the ballast containing soil and sand on the slope of the substrate, which is ready to fall down, can be positively scooped by the upper scooping part. |
