PURPOSE:To perform FM sound multiplex recording and, at the same time, to make post recording possible, by installing a head for sound signal in addition to a head for video signal and recording sound signals on the guard band section of a video track. CONSTITUTION:After recording is made with a sound head S+, overlay writing is made with a video head V+. When level differences are installed to sound heads 7 and 8 with respect to video heads 5 and 6 at the time of overlay writing, the bottom side edge of the recording track of the video head V+ can be made coincident with the bottom side edge of the recording track of the sound head S+. In the case of another sound head S- and video head V-, the same action can be expected. To effectively obtain this effect, it is recommendable to select, for example, + or -6 deg. and + or -20 deg. as the azimuth angles of the video and sound head, respectively. The figure shows a recording pattern obtained when 2- hour mode recording is made with the above-mentioned heads. |
