PURPOSE:To obtain easily a metallic picture by means of water, various solutions, etc. by developing a photosensitive resist layer, and thereafter, removing a metallic thin film layer part which is not covered with the resist layer, too, by a solution for dissolving a lower applied layer. CONSTITUTION:When an original 11 of negative or positive is placed on a metallic picture forming material 1b which is formed successively by a lower applied layer 5, a metallic compound thin film layer 3 and a photosensitive resist layer 4 on a supporting body 2, and exposed by an active light 12 and developed, as for the layer 4, an exposed or unexposed part is melted out in accordance with a type, and a relief picture 4' having the same shape as the original is formed. Subsequently, when a picture surface is rubbed lightly and devdoped by a solution which is capable of penetrating the layer 3 and also dissolving the layer 5, the part which is not covered with a picture 4' of the layer 3 is removed together with the layer 3, and a metallic picture 3' of the same shape of the original 11 is obtained. The development of the layer 4 and the rubbing development of the layer 3 can also be executed by a processing of once by using the same solution. |
