<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled ink excellent in erasability and quick drying, yielding clear, sharp writing with adequate stickiness, by dissolving dyes, resins, and polyether-modified silicone oils in org. solvents. CONSTITUTION:1-30wt% acidic, basic, or salt-forming dye (C.I. Solvent Black 29), 1-40wt% resin (e.g., maleinized rosin), and 0.01-2wt% polyether-modified silicone oil of formula I or formula II [wherein R is an (un)substd. monovalent hydrocarbon group; R' is alkyl or alkyl phenyl ether of polyoxyalkylene; 2<=m+ n<=70] are dissolved in an org. solvent having a vapor pressure (20 deg.C) of 1- 100mm.Hg or a b.p. of 50-180 deg.C (e.g., ethyl alcohol) to yield a marker ink for an overhead projector having a viscosity of 8cps or below and a surface tension (25 deg.C) of 22dyne/cm or below.</p> |
