<p>PURPOSE:To detect and identify accurately a code despite of the revolving speed of a container by arraying the digitized marks on a circular track on the outer surface of the container with the patterns different from each other in the direction orthogonal to said circular track and then detecting those marks. CONSTITUTION:Two long and short code marks are put on a glass bottle at the lower edge part of the outer circumferential surface of the body part of the bottle orthogonally to the circular track of the outer circumferential surface of a container. When this bottle is positioned at the 1st check point, an input timing signal is fed to a microcomputer 35. Therefore the code read data is fed via a data input port 36 and stored first to a present value register 37. The contents of the register 37 are compared with those of a preceding value register 38 through a comparator 39 and then stored successively to a data memory 41. This procedure is repeated 10 times to obtain a 10-bit code with 10 marks. Owing to this 10-bit code data, the code can be detected and identified accurately despite the variation of revolving speed of the glass bottle.</p> |
