PURPOSE:To increase the wearing resistance of an insulating layer so as to improve its reliability and ever long insulation quality, by forming the insulating layer of an injection valve, in which an electrical switch is formed by a needle valve and a nozzle body, by ion plating on a surface of the needle valve. CONSTITUTION:In order to hold the quality of electrical insulation between a thick diametric part 8a of a needle valve 8 slidably provided in a nozzle body 6 of an injection valve 1 and a guide hole 7 of the body 6, an insulating layer 25 is formed on the peripheral surface of the thick diametric part 8a of the needle valve 8. The insulating layer 25 is formed by coating the peripheral surface of the thick diametric part 8a of the needle valve 8 with SiO2 by the method of ion plating. The insulating layer formed in such way, having closeness and a high grade of combination with the base material, is excellent in the wearing resistance and able to hold the quality of insulation even for use of long period. |
