PURPOSE:To perform titled control and to operate safely a dust remover by spraying water onto the raw material charged into a blast furnace by means of water sprayers provided at the top of the furnace or charging conveyor and lowering the temp. of the furnace top gas by the evaporation heat of the water in the raw material. CONSTITUTION:When a charging raw material 21 is charged into a small bell hopper 3-1, a pump 20 for feeding water operates to spray water from plural water spray nozzles 13 provided on the side wall of the small bell hopper to the raw material 21 in the hopper 3-1. The rate of spraying is adjusted according to the temp. of the furnace top gas while the flow rate of the feed water is measured with a flowmeter 18. The raw material 21 in the hopper 3-1 is charged from a large bell hopper 4-1 into the furnace after the spraying but the temp. of the furnace top gas flowing into a riser 5 is lowered by the evaporation heat of the water in the material 21. Then the frequency of water spraying in the dust remover is decreased. |
