PURPOSE:To make sure of shifting motion, by installing a reverse check mechanism at the rotation side of an arm, while regulating both arm and control rod sides so as not to keep shifted directly to the backward shift step intact at a neutral position in time of releasing a forward shift step. CONSTITUTION:An engaging pin 41 is projectingly installed in the upper part of a housing 26a at the tip of an arm 26, while a cam 42 is set up just above this pin 41. And, an upper part of the cam 42 is locked to the side of a cover 28 and fitted, free of vertical movement and rotation, in a shaft 44 being vertically suspened, then a lower limit position of the cam 42 is positioned by a snap ring 45 at the side of the shaft 44 whereby a reverse check mechanism 40 is formed. With this constitution, in time of releasing a forward shift step, the arm 26 and the control rod side can be regulated so as not keep shifted directly to the backward step side intact, so that reverse check motion can be performed with certainty in despite of low accuracy.
