PURPOSE:To improve the intergranular corrosion resistance by adding prescribed percentages of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Ni and Nb to Fe and regulating the amount of delta-ferrite in HAZ to a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:The titled stainless steel consists of, by weight, 0.03-0.08% C, <=1% Si, <=2% Mn, 17-20% Cr, 0-12% Ni, Cx(10-20)% Nb and the balance Fe and has 3-10% delta-ferrite content in HAZ. The stainless steel maintains its intergranular corrosion resistance for a long period.
