The invention refers to a device for the purification of liquid mediums, in particular a magnetic separator.The magnetic separator is comprised of a throughput working chamber (1), which surrounds a Ferro-magnetic filter filler body (2) and a magnetising system (4) with a magnetic flow conductor of which at least one part is made up of permanent magnets, in addition to the magnetic conductor and filler body (2) a closed magnetic circuit is formed as well as a device for breaking the magnetic field. The device is characterised by the breaker device for the magnetic field being connected in a series of pulse stream sources (9) and by a device (8) that changes the direction of the flow in the coil (7) that is set up outside of the magnets and that has a total ampere-turn that ensures that the flow of the magnetic field is led to the coil (7), at which the strength of the magnetic field is equal to the coercive field strength of the permanent magnet (5, 6).<IMAGE> |
