PURPOSE:To manufacture a power transmission belt of good quality by using lesser numbers of processes in which a blade receiving sheet is provided between a cylindrical drum and a laminated belt molding, and molding, vulcanization, polishing, and cutting are continuously performed by only one drum. CONSTITUTION:A blade receiving sheet 2 of thick paper, cloth, resin, etc., is wound around a steel drum 1, a rubberized wide-angle sail cloth 5 is wound around the sheet 2, and then a thin unvulcanized upper adhesive rubber sheet 7 is covered on the cloth 5 and surface treatment is made. A tensile rope 7 having a low elongating property and a high strength, e.g., glass fibers, etc., is wound spirally on the sheet 6, and an unvulcanized compressed rubber sheet 9 of the same material as the upper adhesive rubber sheet 6 is wound around the rope 7 to form a laminated belt molding 20a. The molding is sent, together with the cylindrical drum, to a vulcanization process for vulcanization. The molding is then attached, along with the drum, to a polisher and cut and polished to form a vulcanized belt molding 20b with a rib having recessions 10. |
