PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive device easy to monitor abnormality by mounting an abnormality monitor integral to an opening or a valve of an oil- filled electric appliance so as to eliminate the installation of a measuring cable and the setting of the abnormality alarm. CONSTITUTION:A valve (a waste oil valve) 2 is provided at the bottom of an oil- filled electric appliance 1 housing an insulation oil and an abnormality monitor 15 mounted at the tip thereof to enable the monitoring of abnormality in the oil- filled electic appliance 1. The abnormality monitor 15 is made up of gas permeation membrane 5 adapted to pass gas through an insulation oil in the oil-filled electric appliance 1, a sensor 7 for detecting gas permeated, an electromagnetic valve 6 for opening or closing gas between the gas permeation membrane 5 and the sensor 7, an alarm 14 for display abnormality and a power source 13, which are housed integral into a protective case 8. In this manner, an abnormality monitor is mounted integral at the tip of a valve of the oil-filled electric appliance to enable an easy monitoring of abnormality on the spot. |
