PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of an engine provided with a supercharger, to which no consideration is necessary to provide its carburettor with air-tightness, by disposing the carburettor in a pressurized air passage from the supercharger. CONSTITUTION:Air from an air-cleaner 3 is pressurized by a supercharger 3 and enters in a surge tank 5 in which carburettor 2 having a suction port 2a is incorporated. Therefore, the pressurized air enters into the carburettor 2 through the suction port 2a to form a mixture which is then fed into an engine. Since the carburettor 2 is completely disposed in a pressurized intake-air passage such as, for example, the surge tank 5, so that the inside and outside pressures of the carburettor 2 are equal together, and therefore, it is not necessary to provide a seal means for preventing the pressurized air in the carburettor from leaking outside of the latter. |
