<p>PURPOSE:To have sure paper feeding which requires simple operational control, by allowing a separator roller to rotate in the direction of paper feeding, when the platen is making reverse rotation, as well as turning a lever in the direction as contacting the surface of the sheet, and thereby transmitting the torque of platen to the separator roller. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 16 rotates a platen 13 in the reverse direction to allow rotation of cranks 46a, 46b clockwise, and then levers 32a, 32b turn in the direction toward stoppers 39a, 39b. When a separator roller 34 contacts the uppermost sheet 57, only one sheet is taken out through rotation of the roller 34 and fed to between the platen and pinch roller 14, and as the platen 13 is in reverse rotation at this time, the sheet 57 is held at a determined position without being drawn in between the rollers. If then the platen 13 is put in regular rotation in order to start printing, the sheet 57 in the stand-by state is drawn in between the platen 13 and pinch roller to be transported along a paper guide 15. Accordingly there is no need at the time of paper refill to separate the separator roller from the surface of sheets, that ensures simple control and sure operation.</p> |
