PURPOSE:To make it possible to separate substances different in magnetic characteristics, by a method wherein a high magnetic field is generated in the space between both yokes by an exciting coil and the matrix coming into said space while rotating is magnetized before using the same. CONSTITUTION:Plural sets of exciting apparatuses 10, 20 consisting of exciting coils 12, 22 and vertical coils 11, 21 are provided and each yoke is divided into an upper side yoke and a lower side yoke so that N, S poles are arranged in vertically opposed relation to each other so as to leave a gap between the yokes 11, 21. On the other hand, treating substance supply ports 14, 24 are provided to the lower parts of treating substance supply hoppers 13, 23 so as to pierce the upper side yokes and a matrix apparatus 30 comprising a ferromagnetic matrix part 32 having a width larger than a magnetic pole width is arranged between N, S poles in a relatively movable state. In addition, a cleaning apparatus 40 for separating a ferromagnetic fine powder adsorbed with the matrix port 32 is provided and a vibration apparatus 42 for vibrating the matrix part so as to smoothly pass the treating substance through the matrix part is arranged. |
