PURPOSE:To facilitate restart by storing control information, which are updated during initiating processings, job control macro processings and terminating processings of jobs, on a face X and copying contents on the face X to a face Y after processings are completed. CONSTITUTION:At the execution start of a job, a job control language JCL is converted to job control information and is stored on faces X and Y of a secondary storage medium. Job control information updated during the initiating processing of the job is written on the face X, and contents on the face X are copied to the face Y after the initiating processing is completed. Information updated during the job control macro processing and terminating processing are written on the face X, and contents on the face X are copied to the face Y similarly after processings are completed. If system breakdown occurs during update of information, a reprocessing is performed on a basis of information on the face Y. Thus, a high-speed restart processing is possible even in case of system breakdown.
