PURPOSE:To execute a protection of a storage device without using a central processing unit by constituting so that an interface control device compares a transfer permitted area designated from the central processing unit, and a transfer destination address deisgnated from an external device. CONSTITUTION:When a data transfer is requested after a data transfer address has been designated from an external device 105, an interface control device 104 compares a transfer permitted area designating word set in advance from a central processing unit 101 and said transfer address. When a result of this comparison shows the inside of a transfer permitted area of the transfer address, a data is transferred to a storage place designated by the transfer address of a storage device 102. In this way, a protection of the storage device is executed without using a storage protecting device belonging to the central processing unit 101.
