PURPOSE:To make a tonneau cover foldable in compact upon its removal in time of being unused, by constituting the cover so as to make it divisible into two parts, right and left. CONSTITUTION:A baggage room cover consisting of a tonneau cover 1 and a take-up 2 is made up of the length of car's baggage room width halved into left and right parts, while a symmetrical pair of the baggage room covers are foldably coupled with each other via a coupling hinge 3. Inside the take-up 2, a roller shaft winding the tonneau cover 1 and a take-up spring both are built in and being rolled round inside the take-up 2 excepting an outlet end part 1a of the tonneau cover 1 whereby in time of being used, the tonneau cover 1 is drawn out against force of the take-up spring. When baggage room covers at both sides are folded up, a pin 6 of the coupling hinge 3 is situated at the outermost side of a long hole 5 as well as when these baggage room covers at both sides are set up in a linear series, the pin 6 of the coupling hinge 3 is situated at the inner side of the long hole 5. |
