PURPOSE:To melt and fix sufficiently a toner image, and to form a distinct color picture by constituting so that a circumferential speed of each roller can be switched to two kinds of speeds. CONSTITUTION:A transfer material carrying a toner image of each color by a color image forming device is fixed between rollers 8a, 8c of a fixing device 8. A driving force of a motor 100 is transmitted to sprocket wheels S1, S3 and drives the roller 8c, but by determining a gear ratio of intermediate gears 102b, 107, etc., the wheel S1 is rotated selectively by two kinds of speeds. Accordingly, a fixing time in a nip part 11 can be varied in two ways, a toner image can be melted and fixed sufficiently in accordance with a transfer material having a large heat capacity and a transparent transfer material, and a color picture can be reproduced faithfully. |
