PURPOSE:To enable thorough processing even of small-sized photographic materials only in one processing bath by placing a volume controlling member for decreasing the bath volume in the bath of a photographic processing machine but maintaining a processing liquid level at a position in a prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:When small-sized photographic materials are processed in a processing bath 1 of large volume with a small volume of processing soln. in a photographic processing machine, a volume-controlling member 5 made of a material unattackable by the processing soln., such as metal or plastics, is placed in the bath 1, and it is provided with a hollow void in its inside filled with water to prevent floating. As a result, the liquid level l1 in the case of the large volume of the processing soln. is maintained using a small volume of the soln., with the level kept higher than that l2 in the case of using no member 5, and photographic materials are processed by advancing them along the course C in the same conditions as processing using its large volume. The member 5 is provided with an opening 6 for letting in and out water, and a handle 7 for facilitating its attachment and detachment. |
