<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the temperature uneveness of a rolling material by measuring the tempeature distribution of the material and determining the flow rate of highly pressurized water to be sprayed from a header and its timing basing on the temperature distribution. CONSTITUTION:A temperature detector 4 detects continuously the surface temperature of a rolling material 1 from the front end to the rear end of the material 1 to send the detecting signals to a temperature storing circuit 5, where the signals are stored in sequence. The stored signals are sent to a temperature-unevenness operating circuit 6 to operate the temperature unevenness, and their signals are sent to a flow rate controlling circuit 7, which sends the signals of the timing of cooling water spraying and the flow rate of spraying to a cooling water feeding system 8. The cooling water 910 sprayed from a nozzle header 91 is directed in a plane approximately perpendicularly to the advancing direction of the material 1, and the falling point of cooling water onto the material 1 surface is shifted in sequence in the width direction of the material 1. This method is applied only to the upper surface of material 1, and an ordinary cooling water spraying method is applied to the lower surface.</p> |
