PURPOSE:To constitute an electrophotographic copying machine which prevents the chattering of a blade by providing a control mechanism to a motor for driving a photosensitive drum and reducing the rotating speed in the start of the rotation of the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The speed control mechanism 5 is provided to the motor 4 for driving the photosensitive drum 3, and the speed is slowed down when the drum 3 starts rotating. Consequently, the front edge part of the doctor blade pressed against one circumference of the drum 3 is elevated from a still position to a stable position above it and held there. Consequently, when a drum with a 122mm. diameter is used as the drum 3, the doctor blade 6 moves from the still position to the stable position and stays there assuming the rising speed of the drum 3 to be a <100mm./sec stationary speed/starting time. |
