The present invention relates to a nautical craft propelled by reaction, comprising a hull 1 and a deck 2, on which the operator stands, which craft is characterised in that it comprises in combination: two cylinders 3 which are essentially at right angles to said deck 2 and in which a piston 7 is displaced, the rod 6 of which comprises a pedal 8 at its upper end, at least one water intake pipe 4 opening into the cylinders 3, nozzles 10a extending towards the rear of the craft, from the lower part 3c of said cylinders 3, means 14 for returning the pedals 8 into exit position, and means 16, 17, 26 for allowing the user to stand on the craft to steer it and to operate the pedals 8 in order alternately to expel the water stored in the cylinders 3 and produce via the nozzles jets of water under pressure to move the craft forwards by reaction.
