PURPOSE:To retrieve easily a position on a recording medium and also to improve the operability for a recording/reproducing device for digital signal, by recording the analog signals correpsonding to plural digital signal tracks to an analog signal record/reproduction track. CONSTITUTION:The digital signals are recorded on digital signal record/reproduction tracks 1-4 on a tape T via a multi-channel digital record/reproduction head. These digital signals are also applied to terminals 6-9 and mixed by a digital mixing circuit 10. These mixed signals are supplied to an analog record/ reproduction head 14 via a sound recording circuit 13 containing a digital delay circuit 11, a D/A converting circuit 12 and an LPF and then recorded to an analog track 5. In such a constitution, the contents of four digital signals of tracks 1-4 can be known by the analog signal recorded on one track 5. Therefore it is possible to retrieve quickly a desired area on the tape T by reproducing the track and by means of a queuing method and a low-speed reproduction method. |
