PURPOSE:To secure safety in case of an abnormality occurs in mechanical operation, by constituting so that a timer means which starts at the time of start of a scanner resets forcibly an optical system CPU in accordance of a home position signal after time-up. CONSTITUTION:A scanner start signal, a scanner return signal, etc. are outputted to an optical system CPU2 from a copying sequency system CPU1; then an optical scan is executed. When a timer of the CPU1 started by the same timing as this scanner start signal exceeds a set time, the CPU1 executes a home position checking basing on a detecting signal of a home position detecting part 6. When this detecting signal remains on, the occurrence of abnormality is decided, the CPU1 resets forcibly the CPU2, the generation of a runaway by the CPU2 is prevented, and safety in case of a mechanical abnormality occurs is secured. |
