PURPOSE:To prevent solidification of waste sand and to treat easily the waste sand in a short time by transferring the remiaining waste sand in a blow head after molding a core by a cold box process into other vessel, adding water and blowing heating air, etc. thereto. CONSTITUTION:The system sand remaining in a blow head in the stage of using the system sand as molding sand kneaded together with a binder and molding a core by a cold box process is transferred into another vessel before said sand solidifies. Water is added at 1-10wt% to the waste system sand and while heated air or steam is blown thereto, the sand is kneaded. The waste sand is made into the state of dry coated sand in 15-30 minutes without solidifying. The easy reconditioning and recovering of the waste sand are made possible in a short time without the labor, as in the prior art, for leaving the sand until the sand solidifies and disintegrating the same to lumps upon solification then processing the sand in a sand recovering stage, etc. |
