PURPOSE:To obtain an optical pickup device by using an elastic member which has the elasticity in both directions where the focus control and tracking control are orthogonal to each other, a damping effect for vibration and a positioning function for an objective lens. CONSTITUTION:An elastic member contains an annular part 1 at the center part together with thin plate type spring parts 2a and 2b set opposite to each other at both ends of the part 1. The end parts of parts 2a and 2b which are opposite to each other are connected via metallic members 3a and 3b respectively. In addition, a metallic ring 4 is welded to the inside of the part 1. Such an elastic member is joined to a mobile part 5 and a housing of an optical pickup by means of the annular parts 2a and 2b serving as metallic rigid materials and plate members 3a and 3b. When no focus nor tracking control is carried out, a positioning function is obtained to support an objective lens 5a at a prescribed position. The elasticity is secured in both directions XX and ZZ, i.e., in both the focus and tracking control directions by using the thin plates of synthetic rubber to the spring parts 2a and 2b. At the same time, a damping effect is also obtained to the vibrations of the lens 5a. |
