<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the breakdown of a tape or a mechanism even if a cassette cover is opened by mistake with push of an ejection button during recording, reproducing or other operating modes, by permitting the operations of various mechanisms only when the cassette cover is completely closed. CONSTITUTION:When an ejection lever 2 is moved toward an arrow mark A, a projection 13 for operation set at the front edge of the lever 2 touches a switch 12 to turn on the switch 12. Under such conditions, a control circuit is actuated and various mechansms are inactivated. When the lever 2 is shifted further toward the arrow A; a pawl 4 of a lock bar 3 set at the front edge of the lever 2 is detached from a hook part 11 of an arm 10 provided to a cassette cover 6. Then the cover 6 is turned and opened toward an arrow C by the force of a spring 7. Under such conditions, the pawl 4 of the bar 3 is pressed by the arm 10 of the cover 6. Then the lever 2 is shifted to the right and kept there as shown in the figure.</p> |
