The invention relates to a device for collecting and transferring solar energy, provided with a closed primary circuit, the primary fluid of which is constituted by a volatile phase-changing liquid; this circuit comprises an absorber 4, means of heat exchange 11 and a reservoir 7 of volatile liquid arranged below the level of the lowest point of the exchanger 11; this reservoir is arranged so as to collect at least a part of the solar energy absorbed and is in communication with the exchanger 11 and the absorber 4. The quantity of volatile liquid arranged in the closed primary circuit is such that the level of this liquid in the entirely condensed state is situated below the exchanger 11. In such a device, in a period of insolation, the fluid which successively evaporates in the absorber 4 and condenses in the exchanger 11 circulates in a natural manner as a result of the distribution of the pressures in the circuit, without any risk of reverse operation in a nocturnal period. <IMAGE>
