PURPOSE:To improve electrical characteristics by eliminating the orientation of ferromagnetic fine particles in the carrying direction of a nonmagnetic supporter when a flexible magnetic disk or a magnetic sheet is produced and attaining uniformly the disorder of orientation of the ferromagnetic particles. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid obtained by dispersing ferromagnetic fine particles into a binder dissolved by a solvent is coated by a coating device 3 to a belt-shaped nonmagnetic supporter 2 consisting of polyethylene terephthalate, acetate, etc. which are fed out of a feed part 1. In this case, the ferromagnetic fine particle has the directivity along the coating direction owing to the fluid orientation. The orientation of the ferromagnetic fine particles in the coating liquid is disordered by a magnetic field generated from a nonorienting magnet 4 before the coating liquid coated on the supporter 2 is dried and hardened. Then the solvent in the coating liquid is deleted by a drying oven 5, and the binder is dried and hardened. Then the disordered ferromagnetic fine particles are fixed and held as they are. |
