PURPOSE:To centralize monitoring and regeneration to one station, by bringing the detection of a transmission fault, recovery, etc., under the control of one station, and converting surely a free token detecting during receive information repeating into a busy token and resending the free token. CONSTITUTION:Terminal equipments 1 (ID1-IDN) such as a computer and various terminals are connected to one transmission system through respective transmitting stations 2 (ST1-STN). Those transmitting stations 2 are connected in series by one unidirectional serial transmission line 3 to form one loop network and at least one specific station (CST)4 dedicated to the monitoring and control of a transmission state including the monitoring and recovering functions of a transmission fault is provided in the loop network, constituting a main loop transmission system. The CST4 has no information equipment 1 in general and functions mainly to supply a system clock, compensate one-round delay of the loop, initializing transmission, and perform monitoring and loop network constitution.
