A device for quickly changing a tool (4), in particular a milling tool, has a chuck body (1) and a cap nut (5) which can be screwed onto the chuck body and has a thrust ring (7). In order to manage without a collet, the tool is connected to the thrust ring like a bayonet catch (9 to 16) (Fig. 1).
