Radar system with devices for suppressing interference signals

Interference, the local distribution of which in the surveillance area is known, such as, for example, road traffic or strong ground clutter, is masked out with the aid of fixed amplitude thresholds which are only stored for those regional cells with increased probability for the occurrence of interference echoes, possibly also distinguished by Doppler frequency. Threshold-exceeding amplitudes are marked as possible interference echoes for further processing steps.
