The water-conveying system for industrial and domestic water supply installations has a water pressure tank (1) and a compressed-air source (6) which can be connected thereto via an air inlet valve (4). The water pressure tank (1) furthermore has a water inlet valve (2), a water outlet valve (3), an air outlet valve (5) and switches (11A, B) responding to the water level. Consequently, the water pressure tank can be filled up with water to the maximum level alternately when the air outlet valve is open and, after the valves have been switched over, the water present in the water pressure tank can be forced via the water outlet valve into a water supply pipe by means of compressed air. <IMAGE>
