In a device for the continuous production, filling and sealing of containers consisting of preferably thermoplastics film and provided with a cover film, a device is provided which, after an interruption in production, maintains a synchronisation between the container film and the cover film. The synchronising device consists of a holding mechanism with clamping points and a separating element for separating and holding the cover film and a spot welding device in order to prevent the separated cover film end from rolling back under a processing station, e.g. a sealing station.
